Introduction

The Lake MacDonald Music Centre is located about one and a half hour north-west of Montreal in the Laurentians.  Owned by CAMMAC, the site borders a large and attractive lake and many of the outbuildings are located in pleasant woods. The music programs are the backbone of CAMMAC’s operations and history.

Starting in June 2006, and for the first time, the Music Centre will be open all year round.  Besides the famous Summer Program and weekends with CAMMAC activities, many other organizations rent CAMMAC’s facilities for rehearsals and meetings.  You can now make reservations for any time of the year.

The new main lodge is a green architecture project, built to strict environmentally responsible standards.  Geothermal heating by way of heat exchangers deep in the lake, living roofs, a reed bed for purifying grey waters, radiant heating and many other technical elements will add interest to your visit. As well as taking part in the socially responsible movement toward green architecture, you will enjoy improved accomodations and more spacious meeting and rehearsal rooms.

At the the heart of the site, you will discover a versatile and acoustically designed concert hall, with the only floor designed for dancers in the Laurentians. Beautiful sunrooms are a charming reflection of an architectural element of the old building.  In a very cozy atmosphere, come and gather around two beautiful fireplaces.  We should also underline that an  elevator and four completely adapted rooms will provide accessibility to  those with disabilities.

You can make your reservations right away as individuals or groups.

Every season, the music life is delightful.

Welcome to all !
