Kitty Benton spent her career designing heirloom clothing for children.

Her Children’s Couture Collection, which included clouds of organdy, English hand smocking, and heirloom laces were sold in better stores nation-wide.

Patterns for her designs, licensed to the McCall Pattern Company, and her three books, Sewing Classic Clothes for Children, Classic Designs for Today’s Active Children, and Serging Fine Fabrics are still widely available.

Today she expresses her lifelong love of children in her delicate etched silverpoint portraits.
